Flashing Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Australia unlocked version

I recently got a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge 32gb version dual sim Asian version as the Australian version does not have dual sim, so my s6 edge was to be sold.  Wish it was dual sim + card slot as the 32gb is not enough.

Now, I wanted to remove everything so I tried to downgrade it back to lollipop using Odin and a rom I found on internet, Little did I know, that it was impossible after upgrading to Marshmallow 6.01.

So I had to flash it back up.  Now I encountered a few errors which is the reason for this article.

A lot of websites had poor information and are simply misleading and time wasting

The gist of it is:
backup your data using samsung kies or smartswitch

Download and extract Odin.
7.Power down the phone.

8. Press and hold the following buttons in order: Volume Down + Home + Power. Keep holding them until you see a screen that says "Warning!!" at the top.

9. Press the Volume Up button to continue.

10. The next screen will show the Android logo and say "ODIN MODE" at the top left.

11.Run Odin as administrator. Under Options, BOTH "F. Reset Time"  AND "Auto Reboot"should be checked. .

12. Click the "AP" (or "PDA") box and browse for the extracted firmware file.

13. Now connect your phone to your computer via USB.

14.Wait until you see your phone plugged in.

15. Press Start in Odin.

16. When Odin is successfully finished, you will see in the Message box "All threads completed"
(it may take several minutes to complete so be patient).

17.Don't turn on the phone.

18. Press in order: Volume Up + Home + Power until you see an Android screen.

19. Use Volume Down to scroll to "wipe data/factory reset" and press Power to select it. (Make sure you have backed up your phone!)

20. On the next screen, scroll to Yes, select it, and your phone will reset.

21.When it's done, select reboot system now and it will reboot.

22. Restore your data using Samsung Kies/smartswitch. This will restore most of everything; you may need to re-setup the home screens and some of your settings.

It worked for me and my old s6 edge phone is back to normal.  The wipe data/factory reset is needed.
If you get dmt verify error, don't worry, it just means your rom version is inconsistent with your last installed Marshmallow version.  In one instance, I was stuck in a loop and was about to give up and go to samsung store in city, but the thought of paying made me try again and again, luck prevailed and I found the correct rom and everything worked out.

Note previously everytime I turned on wifi my s6 kept rebooting which is why I decided to flash it in the first place.  Only recently did I find the fxr wifi fixer.

In the process I triggered Knox protection so my next area of research is how to reset it.

This site has some screenshots:

I like the descriptions of the different roms here
http://www.galaxys6edgeupdate.com/galaxy-s6-stock-firmware/

and of course this is the best site on the internet for Samsung rom:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G925I/
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G925I/XSA/

note the rom download after registering on the site is 1.7gb each and extracted is about 3.5gb so you better have enough space.

After flashing, need to put in some new games http://rexdl.com/android/game/

I really liked angry birds acefighter unfortunately message says one more month to go and it will be dicontinued.  It is the best android game ever. Period! ha ha
