I got myself the 128gb Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (for AUD 1100 off ebay) after considering iphone 6. I am so happy i did not get the iphone 6 as The S6 edge is fantastic. It is so fast i could not believe if after using the old lumia 1020 for so long lol. Been playing Angry birds Epic online lol
The phone's battery lasts only 1 day though.
The camera loads in literally less than 1 second by just doubletapping the home button. The camera is very nice. Everything else is so fast and best of all android is great :)

An excellent android app is unique mobile finder. it is so good even if you login incorrectly, it can send you an email (so you can check where it has been accessed on your pc or anywhere else you can access email), this way you know if you leave your phone at your work desk and go to a meeting, you will know if anyone has been trying to access your phone, or the wife going through your stuff lol
It shows a map of where the event took place which is fantastic.

In terms of tv series, I started watching Orange is the new Black from s1ep1 and just could not stop watching it that I stayed up every night watching every episode till end of S3 :) It is a series about womens issues with Piper as the central character. It features Jason Biggs of American Pie Movies as her writer husband.
Scandal US is a great tv series, I started from season 2 and have been unable to stop watching it :)
I also liked American Odyssey. Can't wait for next season.
Australia's next top model is so much better than Asia's next top model. Perhaps it is the language barrier.

One must have extra for the sony rx100 is the official sony grip. It only costs about AUD 17 on ebay and it makes a big difference. It just sticks on the front and it just makes you wonder why sony did not include it in the box.

For those of you who have a sony rx100 (mark 1 or mark 2) and have been contemplating upgrading to a sony rx100 m3, just do it! I was lucky enough to win a ebay auction with seconds to go ie I usually have bad luck but this time I just put a bid and won, so I saved about $100 AUD and there was free postage so I did not have to buy US stock which would result in me paying an extra $200 AUD normally for postage and fX conversion etc. The guy even gave me an old 30mb/s 8gb class 10 sandisk sdcard lol (yes if you dont ask, you dont get)
I was initially contemplating buying an iphone 6 but the 128gb costs well over $1300 AUD so I decided to save $$$ and buy the sony rx100m3 and with the loose change buy a 2nd hand HTC one m8 :) Note reviews say iphone 6 camera photos still cannot beat my old nokia lumia windows phone 1020 :p They are also correct that if you are not in a rush and take the time to compose the picture, you will get much better shots than iphone by using the 1020.
The rx100m3 nice foldout screen is sensational. The fold out screen is useful for filming movies and the formats are much better than the old rx100 mk 1. eg you can simply sit the camera on your lap and just use the screen tilted at 90 degrees (so you can see what you film when looking down) to film something instead of having to hold the camera up for long periods of time (making your shoulders/arms tired) lol
Yes the mk3 is slightly heavier and bulkier than mk 1 but it has much more hidden useful features over the mk1 and fits in the pocket just the same and image quality is the best of its genre.

Hi everyone, I gave away my 5d Mark III as a gift but missed it so much, I got one for myself from ebay just before Xmas (no one buys me presents as I am too old lol). The 1DX has its advantages but the 5dIII is more portable (smaller and lighter) for family trips as my 2 yo is getting heavier to carry and chasing my 4yo is hard with a fully loaded camera bag :)
I have been going to the beach a lot and I have found the olympus tough tg-1 to be great eg once i had to carry my 2yo across a lagoon in the water and when I go there, there was breathtaking views, while the picture quality is not as good as a sony rx100, the waterproof ability made it the best camera for the purpose. I just wish they could have a waterproof camera that also took rx100 quality pix lol. I have not upgraded either as the version 3 of both tough and rx100 does not offer enough to entice an upgrade.
Its kinda ironic that the first episode of current season of the US Celebrity Apprentice is about Pie Face given the financial trouble it is in in Australia and US. Still, I like this season of US Celebrity Apprentice season 14
I am so glad that Google & Firefox browsers both have function called open in Incognito window, so I can read news sites such as smh.com.au without having to get a subscription.
As to movies, I recently watched a nice Bruce Willis movie called "Vice" Its a simple yet interesting sci-fi movie.
The other movie I loved was a Keanu Reeves movie called John Wick where he demonstrates martial arts moves mixed with good shooting :)
Taken 3 is also a good action movie.
I have been learning Adobe photoshop to improve my photography skills :) There is a nice download I found called Adobe Photoshop CC Master Brush Folder which is 43gb. Some very useful learning tools there.
