After a few weeks of using padfone 2, and a few camera updates later, still jellybean 4.1.1 waiting for 4.2
the nice thing about the camera is holding down a button and taking multiple pictures at short intervals.
Love having the tablet so at night I can update the google calendar easier.

Ok I just received my xmas present I bought myself (for $AUD 948 with free shipping from ebay). The phone itself is very light, when I put it into the tablet, a tad on the heavy side when compared to my transformer prime tablet (tablet only without keyboard), the sim is a micro sim so the normal sim doesnt fit. Luckily TPG lets you choose the sim size.
The first thing the phone asks you when it starts up is to select language, I had to scroll up to select english.
one frustration with all android devices is that my work internet needs a user and password login so even though I did not have a sim, I tried to connect to the internet by using the wi-fi. However, in the set-up instructions, it just goes into a massive loop. So I docked the phone into the tablet and then clicked the home button and then clicked browser and then from there i could enter in my work's guest wifi user/pass combo and then from there i could start downloading and updating.
Synced the gmail account.
Ok most of these are the shortcomings I found so far, as some of you know, my reviews are usually pointing out the flaws so you can make a better informed decision, but if I bought it, then it is obviously worth buying ha ha,
I have been reading that Jellybean is available but when i click search for updates within the tablet, it says nothing is available and android is still 4.04 as opposed to 4.1.1
Pity it does not have a usb port or sd card slot so I will have to use bluetooth or use the usb cable to connect to my desktop to transfer all my "FULL VERSION" angry bird games ha ha I just cannot stand the ads.
Ok one thing is if you connect the usb to your pc, it does not work if you connect it to the docking station. you need to connect it to the phone only. Great news is you don't need to install any of the asus software to connect :)
Given I have 64gb, the first thing I did was copy my entire clubfanatix mp3 collection which was about 32gb so I will have something to listen to lol. However, android appears to be like those old 32bit windows where there is a file name length limitation so I had to shorten the directory path I was copying to.
In terms of appz, I went and installed the ad free versions of angry birds latest versions and some calculators and office type appz.
You can answer the phone on your tablet without removing the phone. Its pretty kewl
